Hi, I am back to cooking with Wok Wednesday. Truth is I only took off one recipe, the last one, because I just did not have anything to make with it. It is hard for me to make the side dishes because then I also have to prepare a main course. With this recipe, Yin Yang Beans, from Stir-Frying to the Sky’s Edge by Grace Young, I made the family chicken nuggets and french fries (blech!), while I eat the entire bowl of beans for dinner (yum!).
I really liked this dish. I loved the addition of the ground pork with the soy sauce/sherry mixture. (BTW, I tried 3 different liquor stores and could not find the specified rice wine, so the sherry had to do). And I liked the heat from the red pepper flakes. I think this recipe would be really tasty with cauliflower.
In two weeks we will be making Kung Pao Chicken. That is more like it! Yeah! Check back soon.
