Welcome to the very first recipe for the Tuesday with Dorie baking group’s new book Baking Chez Moi, by Dorie Greenspan. The recipe is Palets de Dames. They are little round cake-like cookies with a white powdered sugar glaze on top. I chose to decorate mine with pink sugar crystals. Everything is better pink.
These cookies were a snap to make. After mixing the dough, you refrigerate it for at least an hour. Then you take 2 teaspoon-size scoops of batter, roll each into a ball, and place them on the baking sheet.
Bake until the edges are slightly brown.
Then when cool, you dip them in icing glaze and decorate.
They are delicious and delicate. My kids and hubs loved them.
As part of the TWD group, we are not publishing the recipe, so as to encourage others to purchase the book. It will not be a bad purchase.
